Strawberry Cake Recipe

The blog Make Meals Ahead is calling for recipes that use strawberries. I have a very simple one that my family used to love each summer.

Strawberries - as many as you want
Strawberry Flavor Topping (Looks like sauce and comes in a bag. Normally found near the strawberries in the store)
Angel food Cake
12 oz tub Cool Whip

1. Cut the center out of the angel food cake and chop it into small cubes.
2. In a large bowl, mix strawberry topping, cool whip, angel food cubes, and half strawberries cut up (really use as many strawberries as you want). Make sure everything is well coated.
3. Fill the angle food cake with mixture. Then cover the entire outside of the angel food cake with the mixture as well.
4. Finally, slice the remaining strawberries and coat the outside of the cake. Best served straight out of the fridge because the cool whip will eventually melt.
