Desription: HE’S TERRIFIED
Chance McGregor is known as one of the toughest werewolves around. As the Dominion Creek Pack Guardian it’s his job to protect the pack and its laws. Even if that requires him to find his true mate or mate with someone of the council’s choosing. With the Mating Ceremony fast approaching – and Chance a very unwilling participant – he has more on his mind than pack safety. It’s enough to make even the baddest werewolf whine like a puppy.
SHE’S IN CONTROL
Stephanie Taylor is finally making her way in the world. She’s out of a bad marriage, starting a business with her best friend in a great new town, and in control of her stable – if not sometimes boring – life. She can handle boring and she doesn’t need a man to tell her what’s best for her anymore.
WHAT’S A WOLF TO DO?
When Chance runs into Stephanie on the street, he realizes that he found his woman. The problem is she’s a human. Not a problem for him though. Now all he has to do is convince her that they are meant to be together forever; talk the ever-meddling pack council into allowing the mating; and protect his pack from a group of rogue wolves wreaking havoc across the state. With their hearts, and lives, on the line Chance and Stephanie will do the only thing they can…
TAKE A CHANCE ON FATE
Interview with Emliegh Walsh
- In your world, Werewolves are known to the general public. Since they are known, has it become more common for werewolves to discover their true mates?
Being known to the public hasn’t made it any easier or harder for wolves to find their true mate. A wolves true mate can be any species: were; human; even Fey. It depends on Fate. However, it does make it easier for a human to accept the true nature of their were-mate if that’s the case. - The council doesn't approve of mixing werewolf blood with other races/species because it dilutes the gene pool. Do they actually have evidence to support that fear? It just seems like it might be unfounded especially with the discovery of Chance's true mate being a human.
The council is comprised of elders of the pack. They’ve been alive for hundreds of years and most are very set in their ways. To them, the proof is in the pudding so to speak. They feel that rogue wolves, those that don’t want to live in a pack or have gone bad, are proof enough that the gene pools have been tainted. In their eyes, a wolf would never leave the pack or disobey the more dominant wolves of the pack if they were of pure blood lines. So there’s not any real proof; just the rigidity and absolute surety of the elder wolves that sit on the council that they know all. - Since it is possible to turn humans into werewolves, why wouldn't each werewolf whose true mate is a human just turn their beloved in order to meet pack requirements?
Turning a human into a wolf is frowned upon by most of the packs. So in most cases it would be disobeying pack law. Also, turning a human into a wolf is very dangerous and painful to the human. They wouldn’t want to take a chance that their mate would die during the change. - What is Eric's background? they hint to him having had a tough life before joining Chance's pack. Will there be a book about Eric in the future?
Eric’s book is coming up and all his secrets will come out soon!
I will say that I had other questions that could not be answered. It turns out I am really good at figuring out the foreshadowing in the story and if Emleigh had answered them, you might not have needed to read this book or the next one! Pretty cool for me, but you get a short interview as a result.
