A positive tale stands out amongst the current bullying epidemic.
'Dandelion' is a just-launched anti-bullying project by award-winning creative Galvin Scott Davis.
The children's book encourages children and parents to discuss bullying by interacting with an iPad App in an entirely new way...helping Benjamin Brewster through the story by physically blowing Dandelion wishes from the screen of the device! A never-before-realised technological achievement!
'Dandelion' has been released on Kickstarter.com (the subject of many recent online success stories) and is already surpassing its daily target. The project asks children to use creativity to combat the problem and spread the word that "Bullying is for people with no imagination". Kickstarter is a platform that allows creative projects to become a reality. To do this, people can pledge (not donate) to the project and in return for their support, they get rewarded with signed, limited editions copies of the book, the app, signed printed and much, much more!
“Bullying is for people with no imagination”...
The story follows Benjamin Brewster as he navigates his way around ‘The School for the Misguided’ and its resident bullies. With no one to turn to, a patch of Dandelions appear beside Benjamin which allow him to conjure creations from his imagination and use them to fend off the antagonists.
The moral of the story is that “Bullying is for people with no imagination”.
How can people help spread the word?...
The public can ‘pledge’ to the project to help it reach its goal for completion funding. In return, each supporter recieves amazing rewards such as signed copies of the book, the iPad App with their name in the credits, decals, anti-bullying wristbands, limited-edition signed prints and more.
