CottonAge Review & Giveaway

I haven't done a lot of reviews lately for Mom Blog Society, but I was intrigued enough to sign up for the CottonAge review when it became available. CottonAge was offering $5 graphic t-shirts which came in the Baby Doll style among others. I really like Baby Doll t-shirts even if I don't wear them very often. I have found that this particular style tends to be a little tighter than my oversized self is comfortable wearing. Any way, I signed up and received the following shirt (ignore the wrinkles because I had just pulled it out of the dryer).

Being that the "California Republic" shirt was for product testing, I was not really that particular about what was on it. I will say that the screen printing is very good quality. It feels like the type that will takes years of wear before it will fade off. I have had shirts in the past where the images crack and peel. This definitely is not one of those types of shirts. Their prints are made with aqueous based inks and meshes with the fibers of the shirt, to create the softest clearest prints. The shirt is made out of cotton. I know a lot of people worry about cotton shrinking. This t-shirt is made from pure soft preshrunk cotton so that it is breathable and made to be comfortable to wear. I purposely did not write up my review for this t-shirt immediately because I wanted to test out what happened after I washed it. That's why the picture above has wrinkles. The picture below is what the shirt looked like on me after I washed it.

You can see in the picture that the shirt is very snug on me. I picked out an extra large, which is what I wear in most shirts and styles. This shirt was snug right from the start which means that I probably need a 2X in anything from CottonAge.com. I was nervous about the sizing when I picked out a baby doll style because they do tend to run tight. Needless to say I wasn't really surprised by how it fit. If you are like me and don't want to show off all your fat, get a size larger. Otherwise, the shirts are sized pretty much as you expect and indeed do not shrink when washed.
