Review: I enjoyed this book more than the first one, Bound to Remember. I read it in less than two days because I couldn't put it down. Lola James has brought a very unique personality to several Greek mythological gods, that I just found refreshing.

Bound to Remember ended with Toni having a spell removed from her that made her change appearance and personality. She almost seemed to have two warring personalities trapped in one body. It appears that over the many lifetimes that Toni has lived, her most recent one is actually hanging on even after she has been freed from the blessing (or perhaps curse) of immortality. Her so-called friend and witch Annie, has an even bigger role in this book than the first book. She brings all the key players together and let's just say it's not going to end well for some of them. The part that surprises everyone though is how in love with Hades Toni really is. However, Toni's life as a doctor has her confused by being in love with Ben too.

It's not a very long book, so I don't want to give away too much of the plot. You will read about a handful of gods and be surprised by their personalities. You will also be thrilled and shocked by the ending. Lola James is the queen of cliffhangers. I want more!

Interview with the author, Lola James:

During any of her lifetimes, did Toni love Kevin? Did they ever have kids and if so, what happened to them?
Yes, Toni did love Kevin. In Unbound I think (I can’t remember right now) but he told her that they had lived all over and that they were married countless times. She loved him before the spell but it was platonic love. As for children, no they didn’t have any… the spell froze her in time so she couldn’t have any!

Has Annie ever been loved by anyone? What happened to her parents?
Annie never involved herself with anyone to be loved. She only met Toni by chance in college and it turned into a best friend relationship, to her… Her parents were like gypsies so they never settled and because of that Annie lost touch with them…

Will ever learn more about Ben's history?
Yes, I plan to write his back story… one day! LOL He has a very interesting story!

The beginning of the story sounds like Toni has two warring personalities even though it sounds like one is in control most of the time. Will she end up with multiple personalities or some type of permanent damage from the immortality spell?
She did! She was fighting her “Dr. Toni” self to become her “Antonia” self and eventually they combined. Antonia is selfish and “Toni” is more caring so there is a conflict. No she won’t have any long term effects but you can see the difference in her when she is around Ben.

Will Dawn play a major part in the future?
Dawn is going to get her own book! I love her and she is my favorite character… plus she has a budding romance brewing!

Care to share something about what you are currently working on?
What am I not working on…? I am writing the second book in the Fate series called Defying Fate. I have also started the third book in the Spellbound series called Bound to You (that is an exclusive). I just finished a short for an anthology that I am in and lastly I have a Contemporary Romance coming out too!
