Review: Destiny Unveiled is the second book in the Destiny series. As a part of this tour, I was supposed to read both books, but I sadly didn't have time. I read just this second book and will hopefully read the first one at a later date. I can therefore personally tell you that you can read this one and understand everything without reading the first. In my opinion, that makes it a pretty good story and series.

In this story, Gabriella (or Gabby) has just graduated high school after apparently a very traumatic senior year. Her coven, consisting of two actual witches and two wiccan mortals, are in celebration mode when Monte, Gabby's stepbrother introduces them to his boyfriend Adam. Adam's appearance coincides with the appearance of a strange elflike woman and a redheaded man. It also started these magical migraine headaches for Darron. There are a lot of coincidences happening and then a sudden inescapable mission that requires Gabby and Darron to accept their extended families. Gabby is placed in a position where she has to accept her long lost aunt and two unknown cousins. It's a story about magic, covens, family, and lost/discovered loves. You will enjoy the twist when Gabby meets her missing niece. I look forward to finding out about Gabby's padt and what is yet to be.

Interview with the author, Laura DeLuca:

Gabby appears not to remember pieces of her history, liking having an aunt and what her mother had taught her about witchcraft. What caused this memory lapse?

In Destiny, it is explained that Gabriella suppressed all memories of witchcraft when her mother was murdered. Her memory of that time is gradually returning.

Why do the witches refer to non witches as mortals? Are witches truly immortal?

They aren't immortal in the flesh but in the spirit. They always return in each life as witches. Some of the witches feel they are superior to humans without supernatural abilities and use it as a derogatory statement.

Flora and Monte are part of the covenant, but they aren't actually witches. What is the difference exactly?

Their coven is a spiritual group that practices the religion of Wicca. Supernatural abilities aren't required, just a heart that is open to the love of the Goddess :)

Would any children conceived between Gabby and Darron definitely be witches?

In Destiny its explained that the abilities are passed from father to son or mother to daughter. Since Gabby & Darron are both witches, all of their children would have powers.

Gabby and Destiny could talk telepathically. Was that a special skill of Destiny's? Could Destiny talk to Trevor too?

The telepathy between Destiny & Gabby is a unique thing though Darron does have telepathic abilities and communicated with Gabby that way once in the first book. I do explain in the first book that witches have to be open to Darron's power for it to work. Destiny and Trevor are not able to communicate telepathically.

It appears that you are planning on at least one more book in the series. Care to give us a peak at what will be happening?

In the third book I plan to delve more into Darron's past. He will learn how he came to be conceived and find out that he has some other relatives in England. That is pretty much all I can say for now.
