#ProductReview: Insta Lite Weight Loss Tea - Natural Weight Loss by CieAura #weightlosstea #tomoson

Product Description on Amazon
An instant tea designed to work with all Weight Management Programs to increase metabolism and aid in weight control. Helps to Get Rid of Excess Water, Helps to Reduce Stress, Supports Immune System Pleasant & Smooth Taste, Highly Effective, Works Great for Both Men and Women.

Review
I have been drinking Insta Lite Weight Loss Tea for just under two weeks now. I was sent enough to have two cups a day for two weeks, but some days I just don't get to have both cups. The good part about that is that me not drinking two cups means that I wasn't snacking that day. The idea behind this tea is that you drink it between meals instead of snacking. So while I cannot really say if it suppressed my appetite a lot, I can say that using it as a replacement for snack works great. I started off weighing 182lbs and after almost two weeks, I am at 180lbs. With the holiday season, you expect to gain weight from all the cookies and candies and otherwise unhealthy food you tend to eat. I have not changed what I eat at all. The only thing I changed was that I tried to just have a cup of Insta Lite Weight Loss Tea in between meals instead of grabbing a snack. Now, I am a realist. I am sure that it is just water weight that I have lost, but losing 1lbs a week is the healthy way to lose weight, so maybe it's the real deal. Obviously, losing weight this slowly would take a long time to get anything significant enough to see. That is always the problem with reviewing weight loss supplements, you never get enough to see the long lasting effects so I can't vouch for it helping you lose the amount that they show in their pictures (See below).

I like the way it tastes. I don't add any sweetener to it at all. It says that you can sweeten it however you want and it will still work, but personally adding sugar to a weight loss drink seems counter productive. It really doesn't need it though and I have drank it hot, warm, room temperature, and cold. Personally, I like it warm the best.

The other part of this tea that I actually think works (since it is hard to tell something like this most of the time), is the immune system support. Both of my kids have developed a cold while I have been drinking this tea. It's the full chest cough and icky running nose kind. I haven't had any of it except a slight runny nose which is my normal for winter and not a cold. You might think, "You must have a better immune system than them right now, but my husband literally got up this morning to tell me that he is fighting what they have and losing. I interpret that to mean that the tea is actually helping me to not get sick. A great bonus to the weight loss element.

If you're interested in giving this tea a try, you can find it on Amazon HERE.

#ProductReview: Tuna Squish #Tomoson #TunaSquish #Giveaway

Tuna Squish

Tuna Squish 1
Tuna Squish 2

Every year we go through a time where we eat a lot of tuna. We are Roman Catholic and during Lent we are meatless on Fridays. Our go to is Tuna on those days. Of course we actually really like tuna salad sandwiches anyway, so occasionally I make them not during Lent. However there is a problem with Tuna, my dogs LOVE to try to get it. I have been told that tuna can be deadly for dogs and and yet both of mine will scour the kitchen when they smell it and will steal the cans if you turn your back on them. Making tuna salad can be a challenge since you have to squish the liquid out of the can before making it. The liquid then gets on my hands and sometimes my clothes which causes the dogs to be all over me when I really don't want them to be. When I saw the Tuna Squish, I thought that this could be what would solve my doggy dilemma especially since I am planning to make a Tuna Ball for Christmas this year. I really don't want to fight with the dogs when I am preparing my Christmas Eve foods while dealing with guests as well. Here's what happened when I used it for the first time.

Tuna Squish Broke

So as you can see, the first time I used it, I broke it. I was stupid and didn't get my can of tuna completely opened like the instructions say. You know how you buy canned goods and sometimes there are dents in it that prevent you from opening them all the way with your can opener? That's exactly what happened. It wasn't all the way opened and I tried to squeeze out the liquid. Instead of looking at the can to see if there was something wrong with it, I assumed I just needed to squeeze harder. I informed the company what had happened and they immediately sent me a replacement. Amazing! I love when companies stand behind their products enough to send you new ones when you've done something stupid. The second one I received, I took a video of how to use it properly. See below.

I will be using this one other cans that I want to drain but not touch the juice as well in the future. I love to eat cottage cheese and clams. The clam cans are the same size, so I am pretty sure the Tuna Squish will be a useful tool to have around. I give it two thumbs up!

Be sure to look at the bottom of this post to enter to win your own Tuna Squish!

About Tuna Squish:
We are tuna lovers. Tuna sandwiches, tuna salad, tuna pasta, tuna crostini or raw tuna…you name it; we love it. Not only do we love tuna for the delicious taste, the health benefits of consuming tuna are indisputable making it a top pick for healthy eaters, athletes or people looking for a boost in brain power. So we got to thinking…with all the tastiness and health benefits why are more people not enjoying tuna? We found the answer in four words: Tuna is a mess!

It’s common knowledge, preparing canned tuna is messy, smelly, leaves your hands sore and stinky from ferociously squeezing all of the unwanted juice or oil out of the can…not to mention the potential injury from digging that sharp lid out of the can with a fork or your fingers. Instead of accepting this as the end-all to tuna consumption we made it a mission to not deter from enjoying our favorite tuna dishes but rather find a solution to never touch tuna again.

After hours of research and testing, a simple, cost-effective way to eliminate the muss and fuss of tuna was born: The Tuna Squish. With the use of the Tuna Squish the dream of not touching your tuna is now a reality.

When you use the Tuna Squish stinky hands and cut fingers are now replaced with the pure and personal enjoyment of consuming lots and lots of tuna dishes.

Simple. Easy. Delicious.

So whether you are a tuna lover, a healthy eater, an athlete or a brainiac you can rest assured, with the Tuna Squish you will never have to touch your tuna again.

Enter to win a Tuna Squish! You have a limited time to do so!

#ProductReview: Car Seat Back Protector/Cover by Dot&Dot #Tomoson #CarCover

Dot&Dot

Dot&Dot Travel Accessories has something that every parent needs. As your kids grow, their car seats are turned to forward facing and long before you can reason with them, they learn to kick the back of your seat. Besides being annoying and sometimes painful, it's messy. Picture this scenario. It's winter and snowing. Your child has been walking through the snow to get into your vehicle. While you make every effort not to track a bunch of snow into your vehicle, inevitably some will get stuck to their shoes and melt. In my experience this causes a nice muddy streak on the back of the seat as they kick and wipe their dirty shoes on it. In some vehicles, this isn't too big of a problem to clean, but it is all dependent on the type of interior you have. The kind that are made of their weird fuzzy material are almost impossible to get all the dirt out. My pleather seats in my truck can be cleaned, but I can't get everything out of all the little lines in the interior.

Car Seat Back Protector 1
Car Seat Back Protector 2

The protector came in this little plastic zipper bag that can be used for something else when not holding the cover. I intend to put diapers in it to store in my truck. You can see how nicely it folds and the zipper back in the images above.

Now I used to have this Eddie Bauer seat back cover that was made to hold stuff like diapers and wipes. I put it in my truck and the thing could not be tightened enough to 1) protect the seat or 2) hold anything without dumping it. When Dot&Dot approved me to review their Car Seat Back Protector/Cover, I was thrilled to see if my truck was just incompatible with this type of thing or if that expensive Eddie Bauer cover was really worthless. I am happy to report that the Dot&Dot Car Seat Back Protector/Cover fits in the truck amazingly! The top clips around the head rest and tightens a lot so you can keep it in place.

Car Seat Back Protector 3

The bottom has an elastic strap on one side and not elastic on the other side. So you stretch it around the base of the seat and it can slide between the cushions. it holds tightly and the protector doesn't move.

Car Seat Back Protector 4
Car Seat Back Protector 5

I have given this protector a full week before deciding how I feel about it. We haven't have any snow, but we had some rain. Not a lot of bad weather to create messy shoes. I can say though that the cover has helped not feel the sting of kicks as much and it has protected my seat wonderfully. A HUGE thank you to Dot&Dot.

Message From The Author: Elsa Takaoka

Elsa Takaoka, AuthorOn the first day of National Poetry Month in April of 2014, I set the goal of writing a poem a day. My little girls and I would sit at the kitchen table - my five year-old doodled and my one year-old scribbled while Mommy wrote. As I struggled to find inspiration, I would occasionally glance at my eldest girl, who has been a doodling machine since the age of two and will often draw pictures for hours. Her doodles contained many of her favorite things: twins and mermaids, princesses and pets. But on closer inspection, they also contained stories of brave and bold little girls -girls with real feelings who fought, made-up, cried and got angry. These girls sailed ships, fought beasts and were pirates. These girls were tender and caring, who doodled and read. Her art contained REAL little girls- imaginative, clever and able to do anything they set their minds to. My hope is that I was able to crawl into the mind of a child and bottle up even a bit of the innocent yet powerful confidence of clever little girls everywhere.

#ProductReview: SnotARator Nasal Aspirator

Snotarator

The SnotARator is a nasal vacuum that hooks up to your vacuum cleaner and sucks the snot and boogers out of your nose. Yes. I said your nose. This can be used on 0+. I have used it on myself even. My daughter has allergy induced asthma. Well really she has some big long name that they use when the child is under three years old because they actually can't diagnose a child with asthma until they are three unless they have three attacks before they turn three. My daughter has had two attacks that required the doctor's intervention. The first was able to be taken care of in the doctor's office using their breathing treatments. The second time the breathing treatment didn't work and she had to have oxygen while we were taken by ambulance to Children's hospital. We spent a whole weekend there. They deduced that when she gets a stuffed up nose, she will have the tendency to have asthma attacks so we have to keep on top of every stuffy nose. We were unable to leave Children's hospital until we could suck the snot out using the blue bulb syringes they give you. They told us that we couldn't go home because the bulb syringe doesn't have the suction power of the wall suction they were using in the hospital. Now, with this SnotARator, we have the suction required at home. She hates having anything done to her after our stint in the hospital, but hopefully she will get used to using the SnotARator and things will be easier and faster.

The first time I used it on her, she didn't mind. The second time, which I videoed, she wasn't very happy. All subsequent uses have been a little bit of a chore, but that's just because she knows what I am about to do. I have noticed that it doesn't take as long to get the snot out. It works fantastic on boogers. It even works great on me and my four year old son. This is something that I am thinking I will be getting all new parents for baby showers. I LOVE it! The best part, if you were to use it on a newborn, they would get used to the sound of the vacuum cleaner earlier than normal. My kids don't mind the vacuum at all because I vacuum approximately every three days. They had to get used to it quickly. This device could help them to adjust even faster.

Here's the video I took using it:

About SnotARator® Nasal Aspirator:
Our daughter Annika was 6 months old when she got her first cold. I needed to clear her nose, but as a first time mom, I had not yet mastered the art of successfully using the blue bulb syringe on a baby who fights my every attempt to get “that thing” into her nostril.

Because of my European background I knew about a nasal vacuum that has been sold in Europe for close to 20 years with 100% positive reviews. To my surprise it was not available in the United States. I had to have one ASAP, so I got one FEDEXed to me.
While waiting for the package to arrive, I wanted to get my daughter comfortable with the noise of the vacuum, since this specific nasal aspirator attaches to the vacuum cleaner’s hose. So we walked and pet the vacuum cleaner just like it was a dog, we even fed it some leftover crackers.

By the time the package arrived, Annika had a new pet! Surprisingly, I still had to wrestle her to suction the snot out of her nose, but she got more and more cooperative each time and now will even ask to have her nose cleared.
On the other hand, when my husband got home from work and saw what I was doing to our baby, his exact words were "What the heck are you doing? You're going to suck our baby's brain out!"

To his amazement, Annika's brain didn't get sucked out, but there was a whole lot of snot in the collecting canister of the nasal aspirator and it only took two seconds to get it out of her nose. Not to mention that it does not need to be inserted into the nostril, so my anxiety about irritating her nasal mucosa while she is throwing her head around was entirely put to rest.

Once Annika’s runny nose dried up, we decided to bring this product to the United States, so other mothers could benefit from a product that really works and is safe.

So this is the story of how we came up with the Snotarator and my hope is, that it will be as much help to other moms as it is to me.

Guinevere: On the Eve of Legend by Cheryl Carpinello

About the Book

Title: Guinevere: On the Eve of Legend * Author: Cheryl Carpinello * Publication Date: March 30, 2009 * Publisher: Outskirts Press * Pages: 122 * Recommended Age: 7+

Summary (Amazon):

At the dawn of Camelot, one young girl is about to take her place beside the greatest king in England's history.

She is a mere child of twelve. But in these medieval days, this is the age when childish things must be put away and greater responsibilities accepted--all in preparation for a betrothal of marriage.

For young Lady Guinevere, on the advent of her thirteenth Birth Day, the whole idea is quite unbearable. After all, what could be better than spending her youth playing with her best friend Cedwyn, roaming the grounds around the castle looking for mythical creatures or hunting rabbits?

However, the wizard Merlyn--her teacher and friend--knows that destiny has a way of catching up with a person. His arrival sets in motion a series of events that will lead Guinevere to her destiny whether she is ready for it or not.

The Buzz About the Book

"The story is a nice balance between action, elements of magic and fantasy, and important life lessons, all woven within the historical context of medieval times. This was an enjoyable and educational read and I would recommend Guinevere to tween girls and boys." ~ Mother Daughter Book Reviews

"Cheryl Carpinello's 'Guinevere: On the Eve of Legend', is a unique introduction into Arthurian Legend focusing on the life of the young princess. It is perfect for tweens interested in this genre. While most young people aren't royalty, they will likely relate with the emotions associated with wanting independence while struggling with the responsibility that comes with it. ~ Vine Voice, Amazon Customer

"'Guinevere: On the Eve of Legend' is an interesting and well-written tale told in a way that will appeal to middle school aged readers, especially girls but boys too, who can relate to the idea of wanting independence yet struggling with the obligations that come with it. The euphemistic "darn it" is used a few times, and there are some references to drinking ale. But those who really like to read the Arthurian legends should enjoy this fun peek into Guinevere's early life. In addition, it illustrates the important lesson that situations may arise in life when we must choose doing our duty rather than just doing what we want." ~ Wayne S. Walker for Home School Book Review, Amazon

"An interesting read for the 8- to 14-year-old, this book skillfully integrates vocabulary and information about life in medieval Europe without verging on preachy or textbook-like. While it will most definitely interest the bookish child with an unquenchable thirst for history, it will also amuse those with a penchant for adventure-- or unicorns. ~ Thomas, Amazon

"…an outstanding job detailing the escapades of the Princess and her young friend, Cedwyn. Carpinello keeps you turning those pages with her descriptions of the dangers and adventures that are ribboned throughout the entire story. Wizards, unicorns, and dragons are a few of the mythical creatures you will encounter in this enchanting book. I am excited to give this to several of my grandchildren to read! ~ Penny Estelle, Amazon

"Refreshing and fanciful, a perspective on Guinevere that people don't consider, what with the focus on Arthur's childhood. The rural homespun castle and kitchen are illuminating of the time. Guinevere's adventurousness, as a girl who will someday be surrounded by courageous knights, is well-imagined. The detail is delightful at times. Storyline with bards and Merlyn is clever and in the tradition of the Arthurian legends. ~ Katherine L. Holmes, Amazon
