#ProductReview: Christmas Santa Toilet Seat Cover #seatcover

Christmas Santa Toilet Seat Cover 1

It may seem a little early to be considering purchasing things for Christmas, but for me, I shop all year round. I look at the Christmas decorations when I go to yard sales. I am currently cross-stitching a Christmas stocking for my youngest because I want it finished in time to use for this Christmas. I love Christmas and that's why I wanted to do this review. I have a half bathroom on the first floor of my house which is the bathroom pretty much every visitor uses. I have always wanted to completely overhaul it for my Christmas Eve Party, but I really didn't know what I wanted to do with it. Well I have been supplied with one Christmas Santa Toilet Seat Cover set that will now be my solution to this dilemma.

This is a four piece set. It includes the actual toilet seat cover, a rug for around the bottom of the toilet, a cover for the top of the toilet and a Kleenex box cover. It is made out of 100% polyester according to the tags. It feels a lot like felt though for most of it. The beard for Santa is a different material, but I couldn't tell you exactly what that is. Important to note is that it says dry clean only. You cannot wash any of the pieces in you home washing machine. I think that is because some of the embellishments re hot glued on instead of sewn. For me, that restricts me to using the decoration for only my Christmas Eve party until my little kids get bigger. I'm potty training my middle child, so I'm afraid accidents will ruin it if I leave it out for the entire holiday season. It's a really cute design.

I love Santa's face and the top part of the set, when you actually have a kleenex box in use will look like Santa's hat. You need the kleenex to show the white tuft on the hat. I don't keep kleenex in my bathroom because it is game for my kids to pull all the pieces out of it.

My biggest complaint, other than my kids not letting me use it for the entire month of December, is that the piece that goes on top of the toilet is really big. It has elastic to hold it on the toilet top, but it just appears stretched out when it is hanging over it. I realize that this design it to make sure it will fit on nearly every style of toilet, but Santa's face is a bit tight to get on and I know that there are different sized toilet lids. It seems like the toilet top part should be a tight fit too. It's really a minor complaint. It still looks good all together in the bathroom.

A note about the rug, it does have some kind of padding inside of it. Just a little bit of foam to cushion your feet. The underneath is a piece of cloth that feels a little thin to me. It has those little rubber non-slip dots on it to help hold it in place. It's super cute. Just try not to get anything on it since you have to dry clean it.

I really love the design. I wish it were machine washable so I could use it more.

#ProductReview: 100 Feet Garden Hose/ Expandable Hose by Ohuhu #hose

Ohuhu 1

With a quarter of an acre of yard, It is necessary for us to have a really long hose.Up until this point, we have a 50 foot hose that didn't reach the back of the yard which was a problem. We used to have three rather large flower beds in the far back, but I took out the flowers because the previous house owner had planted flowers that I was not fond of. They were a lot of work for flowers I didn't like. That was at the end of last summer. This summer I threw down some grass seed in those bare flower beds, but I was not able to water the seed like it was required since our hose did not reach them. We had to rely on rain that was coming and now my old flower beds have really spotty grass. I have seen those expandable hoses on tv and in stores and always wanted to try one. Since part of the reason we have the shorter hose is storage, the expandable hose seemed like a great fit for us. Ohuhu has provided me with one such hose in exchange for my honest opinion. I have received no other compensation for this review.

The hose is made from a polymer material with a black covering that scrunches up when the hose is not filled with water. Since it is black, you can't leave it in the hot sun all the time. They say in the instructions to keep it in a shady place. The heat of the sun could eventually damage the hose. Similarly, you shouldn't leave it filled with water and then leave it out in the cold. The hose has an ON/OFF switch that helps you to expand the hose to it's full length.

This is supposed to be a 100 foot hose, but the box I received said it was 150 feet. I have no way to measure that long of a length, so I don't know which length is correct. All that really matter is that it reaches every part of my yard. Any way, when you turn on the water, the switch is supposed to be in the OFF position in order to expand the hose. Once it is filled, you flip the switch to ON and use the hose as you see fit. When you finish using it, they tell you to turn the switch OFF prior to turning off the water. After the water is off, then you turn the switch on the hose to ON again in order to drain the water from the hose. It will shrink back to the original 39 foot length. It's actually really neat to watch it shrink (which is in my video). Once it is drained, You can pick up the hose and move it where ever you want. It is extremely lightweight. Other than being a little ungainly, I imagine my five year old son could carry it without any problem.

The connections on the hose are made out of brass to help prevent any rusting. The connection that connects to the water spigot has a rubber o-ring in it to help prevent water from leaking.

The only issue I have with it is that it loses water pressure when it is on for a while. Since you have it turned off to stretch it out, it ends up with a lot of pressure when you turn it on, but that pressure decreases. Of course that is going to be the case because the hose is only going to maintain the amount of pressure that the water spigot has. If you need pressure though, you can turn the switch to off, build up pressure, and then release it by turning it back on. That said, you shouldn't leave the hose switched off with the water still on for long periods because the extreme pressure for an extended period of time could damage the hose.

We are very happy with it and even the kids think it is fun to watch. Fun and functional!
